Iron Maiden announce mobile video game

Iron Maiden - Legacy of the Beast

Prepare to run to the mobile gaming hills this summer, as Iron Maiden will be bringing its music and history to a new role-playing game.

The heavy metal band has announced the upcoming free-to-play mobile game “Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast”, in which players will assume the role of Eddie, the band’s famous mascot, in an adventure “inspired by the rich lore and music of Iron Maiden.”

Eddie is on a quest to reassemble his soul, which has been torn apart and spread across the lands. The RPG will include music from across Iron Maiden’s career, as well as “unheard live recordings” supervised by Iron Maiden founder Steve Harris.

Little else has been revealed about the game, but interested players can sign up for more information at the game’s website. Eddie is no stranger to the world of gaming, having appeared in a game called Ed Hunter and as an unlockable character in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4.
