Formed in Sweden in 2006, Afgrund´s members hail from Finland, Italy and Austria. Afgrund´s sound is an explosive mix of d-beat, punk, and grindcore that is on a par with genre heavyweights such as Rotten Sound, Nasum, and Napalm Death.
The band released their first independent EP, “Hjärtslag Och Djupa Andetag” in 2006, and their first album, “Svarta Dagar” on Lifestage Productions in 2007. They later signed to Willowtip Records, with whom they have released two studio albums, “Vid Helvetets Grindar” (2009) and “The Age of Dumb” (2012).
They have toured all over Europe and the USA, also performing at festivals such as Maryland Deathfest, Brutal Assault and Obscene Extreme.
