Bio

Blitzkrieg formed in Southport in 1981. The first release was “The Future Must Be Ours” which featured on the “A Country Fit For Heroes” compilation on No Future Records. This led to a record deal with No Future and the release of the “Lest We Forget” EP in 1982. The following year saw a change of label, and the release of the “Animals In Lipstick” EP on Sexual Phonograph Records. The band split in 1984, and reformed in 1991 to release “The Future Must Be Ours” LP before again splitting up.

The band reformed in 2007 to play at the Rebellion punk festival in the UK, with a new line up, consisting of Chris Hind (founder member of Blitzkrieg/ ex Mayhem), Jax Chambers (Girlschool), Gaz Johnson (ex The Nags) and Gus Gouldsborough ( On Parole ).

The album “Everything Is Lies” was released in July 208 on Dumbdown Records, ahead of a second appearance at the Rebellion Festival in 2008. In 2011, they recorded their “Fear And control” EP, which was followed by live dates in France, Ireland and Germany.

A new EP is planned for release in September 2013, with further live dates to be announced.
