The Welcome Organisation

The Welcome Organisation is a Belfast based charity, helping homeless and vulnerable people to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. They are recognised both locally and in the broader sector for the delivery of low threshold services and their innovative ways of meeting the needs of some of the most marginalised people in the community.

They have a tradition of trying to maintain links with people, despite their often difficult behaviour and try to keep services open to those who require them delivering ‘low threshold services’ based on a pragmatic harm reduction approach.

Their services assist people to move off the street or on from homelessness to temporary accommodation with the ultimate goal being long term accommodation and a home they can call their own. They deliver day and night street outreach services, a drop-in support centre and crisis accommodation for vulnerable women, and operate from 8am to 1am, 365 days a year.
