Bio

Astralnaut formed in the latter half of 2011, the day after Halloween.

Connections were made instantly with the members and to date they have been gigging ferociously up and down the country promoting their first EP ‘Back To The Bog’ and their first single ‘Emerald Lord of Pleasure’.

With the recent unearthing of their second E.P In The Gaze Of The Gods’, in Belfast’s renowned, champion rock/metal venue Limelight2, Astralnaut plan to trudge fourth and commence proceedings for the third effort, due for release in October 2013.

To date the band has gigged extensively over Ireland and Northern Ireland with 50+ dates racked up in the past year and many more in the books to look forward too.

They’ve shared the stage with Red Fang, English doom titans Black Magician, Ireland’s premier Tool Tribute act, The Grudge, Denmark’s stoner/prog masterminds Rising, Trecker, the hard hitting stoner rock 3-piece from Germany and Hungary’s power/heavy metal lords Crossholder.

With plans for another release and some travelling in 2013, Astralnaut have no time to slack and don’t plan on it. It‘s exciting times musically in Ireland (and indeed the world) and they are honored to be a part of it.
