Bio

Axecatcher are a young hardcore band, formed in Limavady, Northern Ireland in late 2011. Formed out of a mutual love of heavy music, the band quickly entered the gigging scene in Northern Ireland, making tremendous impressions with their lively and energetic live performance, coupled with their interesting blend of heavy genres.

July 2012 brought about the release of their first single “The Odalisque”. This gained the young band some much deserved attention, culminating in it being the featured track on BBC Across The Line’s feature ‘That New Band Smell’.

2013 has seen the band release their first EP “Sparks & Spears” on Savour Your Scene records. The EP was released as a limited run of 40 cassette tapes and was received warmly by both local and international music journalists online, receiving numerous positive reviews.

Since the release of “Sparks and Spears”, Axecatcher have played alongside international acts including Canada’s KEN mode and Los Angeles’ Rotting Out.
