Bio
Floor Staff is an alternative pop project from Dublin.
Floor Staffs more recent work has begun to focus on topics such as time, anxiety, mortality and religion.
Since starting out in 2013 the project has played a string of prestigious shows and festival slots including Ones To Watch, Hard Working Class Heroes, State Faces of 2014 and the Electric Picnic.
What initially started as the recording project of Dublin based song writer Anthony Donnelly has naturally developed into an eclectic group of live performers with diverse musical backgrounds.
Having recently recorded a double A-side, Floor Staff are booked for a slew of festival appearances and other shows to promote this release.
Anthony on the new release: “I started thinking about the conflict between meeting other peoples expectations and fulfilling your own potential. I wrote ‘Brother to God’ in Mongolia where I felt I gained a sense of perspective on the whole thing. I think being in such an expansive landscape helped me to focus a lot, and to realise these conflicts even existed.”
Floor Staff launched the new double A-side on August 9th in the Button Factory in Dublin.
