Entry for the Glastonbury Emerging Competition is open to all UK and Ireland based acts of any genre and gives the winning band the opportunity to play on one of the festivals main stages.
Shellac have announced a small tour of the UK in May, playing Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club, Cardiff’s Trashed and London’s KOKO. This will be the band’s first time in the UK in 2.5 years.
Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that the festival will feature more female-led acts this year. The move comes as the festival circuit comes under criticism for its perceived lack of gender equality.
